I'm sorry, but the first part of this story really bothers me (in particular the characterization of the women), so much so that I couldn't continue reading. I'm not quite sure how to put this, but I'm deeply troubled by the things you've said about women (ostensibly, since your username is supernaturalgrl), your own gender. I'm also very bothered by the amount of praise you've received for it. Is it supposed to be funny, this almost pornographic negative depiction of women? Do you really think women are this way, or would behave like this? Why the glee in humiliating them in a story? How does it serve the story to show Sam as misogynistic, and yourself and your readers taking pride and enjoyment in the 'downfall' of the women in the story? I just want you to ask you to think about what you're saying here under the guise of a PWP.

Author's Response: The fact of the matter is that there are women out there exactly as I depicted them in this story. They're slutty, opportunistic, over-the-top and free with themselves. That is specific to certain women in life, these in particular, and in no way a reflection of how I feel about all women in general. Been to a pick up spot lately (or a grocery store? or a bowling alley?)? Most of the women in those places act and dress like the ones in this story. They're not buttoned-up librarians, teachers and legal assistants. Your assumption that I am against my own gender is ridiculously out of line. Count yourself lucky if you've never had a man stolen by such a "lady". I have, and it isn't fun. I'm sure that many of the others whose praise landed here have had similar experiences. And don't think I place all the blame on the women. There are just as many men out there who behave the same way, and I could have just as easily made it a gay bar with gay or bi- men acting precisely the same way. As is 99.9% of all art, this is a reflection of the artists personal view of the world. You don't have to agree. ~supernaturalgrl

Author's Response: I've decided that I'm not finished. Sam doesn't hate women, by the way, he simply, in this particular story, has a healthy distrust of the TYPE of women he sees constatntly flocking to his mate. That isn't being misogynistic. And how can you judge the whole when you didn't read the whole (and please DON'T on my account)? I think that maybe your altruistic view of the world could be construed as you being quite sheltered. I won't make that assumption, though. However, it's difficult for me to imagine that never in all your born days have you not run across a woman, or even a group of women, whose motives were less than pure and honorable toward ANY man within radar range, straight, gay, bi, short, fat, bald, thin, tall, good looking, homely or what-have-you. Again, to my displeasure, I have met many women such as I've described here and in the story. It is an unfortunate fact of life for the decent women in today's world that this kind of woman exists, but it's the truth in my corner of the globe as well as in many others. Ask around. Oh, and watch Desperate Housewives, there's an eye-opener for ya. Is it better than written fiction because it's on TV? Do you think those writers just made those kind of women up, or is it possible that they know one or two out there in society, scamming for a man no matter who he belongs to, no matter if he shows interest or not? It's fantastic that the UK (no offense intended to any of my lovely UK buddies, [GO ENGLAND] please understand), out of the whole world, has been spared the onslaught of such female behavior. ~supernaturalgrl

You know, sometimes we don’t need all that much plot, I mean why not just jump right into the ooey-gooey center, it’s decadent and WRONG because we’re supposed to be all civilized and whatnot but c’mon… that’s where we all wanta go anyway right??? Whether you’re three or thirty it’s all about endorphins. I adored the bar scene, for so many reasons ~Big delighted Grin~ just the imagery was killer…add that to the way you slid it home…well, I firmly believe you’re a genius. If you hadn’t used the word “PRICELESS” I would have! Because it was ABSOLUTELY THAT! The sex was utterly and completely sizzling! And that last bit…well hell, you had me smiling and admittedly I’m three kinds of “Happy”
