Dean was sitting on the hood of the Impala, looking at his watch. Sam was taking a leak in the woods, unable to hold it until the next town. He'd been gone for over five minutes. Dean found himself thinking 'I know you have a big dick dude, but five minutes to piss?'

Ok, so he wouldn't go looking...just in case something other than peeing needed done. So Dean just growled and scootched his ass around on the hot hood. The hot hood that he would like to bend his brother across, press his body against - reach his hand around that well built stomach and caress....

Dean gave himself a mental bitch slap. "Pull it together, Dean!" he said outloud. He could never tell Sam how he felt. NEVER! His heart couldn't take the pain of him leaving again. Not ever again, and if Sam knew his desires, knew his lusts, passions, needs - oh yeah, he'd leave.

Dean growled in frustration. He might be in love with his brother, but that didn't mean that he didn't want to kick his ass sometimes. He slid off of the car and walked around it, hitting the lock on the door of the driver's side, leaning inside and locking the passenger side as well. Once he was back out, he jogged off to the edge of the woods where Sam had disappeared. "Sammy, zip it dude - or do you need some help?"

No answer.

"Sammy?" he called out once again as he stepped into the compressed brush of the forest. "Sam!" Dean wailed into the deep caverns of nothing but tree after tree. "Fuck Sam, where the hell are you?" Suddenly Dean found himself facedown on the ground, his body being pulled across the thick blanket of small branches, leaves and other forest litterings. His hands flailed around looking for something to grab, hold on to, but his body was moving too fast to grasp at anything it went past. He managed to turn and look ahead to where he was being pulled by the unseen force. There was a pearlescent eruption just hanging, looming in the middle of a small opening in the dense woodlands around him. "Sammy!!!" he helplessly called out. "SAM!!" But his words fell on deaf ears, as there was no one around to help him. Not even Sam.

His body plunged into the blob that was suspended in mid air. Dean expected not to be able to breathe, but surprisingly - there was no lack of air. He felt his body being hurled, pulled across the land beneath him, and he could see the landscape flashing before his eyes as his body twisted and turned within the bulbous phenomenon. But as quickly as it started, it ended. Dean landed with a loud thud on the ground below him.

"DEAN!! Oh thank GOD!" Sam bellowed as he flung his body down on top of him. Dean managed a loud "oomfph" as Sam's near two hundred pounds of thick muscle blanketed his body.

"Uhhh, Sammy - I can't breathe!" he grunted as he shoved Sam off of him. Sam rolled to his side, and Dean sat up. "What the fuck was that thing?"

"I think it was a time portal. I've read about them, but I've never seen one. Hell, I've never talked to anyone who's ever seen one."

"A time portal? Are you serious?" Sam nodded at him. "Great, where - when in the hell are we?"

"Gee Dean, I left my handlink so I could communicate with Ziggy in my other pants!" Sam answered smartly.

Dean only grinned, the Quantum Leap reference not lost on him; it was his favorite show when he was a teenager.

Sam sighed, "Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bite your head off." Dean scowled at him, but nonetheless nodded. "This isn't familar to you?" Sam asked. Dean looked around, turning and taking in his surroundings. "Dean, this is the same place we were, just in a different time. I recognize this tree - these carvings. It's the tree that I, uh..."

"Drained the vein on?" Dean laughed.

Sam frowned and shook his head, "Alright, when I got here, I looked around, and there's a house back this way," Sam said, motioning over his shoulders. "Maybe we can use their phone."

Dean laughed, "And if we are in the future or the past, just who in the hell are you gonna call?"

"Shut up."

They headed toward the house. When they walked through the gates, it was apparent that there were small children living there. Dean opened the small gate across the front walk. "Damn Sammy, this is just too domesticated for my ass. I'd blow my brains out."

"Yeah, I got that when we were back in Oklahoma," Sam said snidely. He loved Dean, and wanted nothing more than a normal life with him. If you could call being in love with and wanting to sleep with your brother normal. "Why does family scare you Dean?"

"I'm not afraid of family Sammy. I'm a hunter - it's all I know how to be." Just as they got to the porch a huge dog started barking, baring it's teeth. "Shit, that's a big fucking dog!" Dean gasped. "What kind of dog is that?"

"Dunno, but I think we're dinner."

The front door opened, "Ozzy! Hush! Natalie and Bailey are taking a nap!" the man snapped.

"Uhhh, Dean?"

"I see it Sammy."

They were staring at Dean, only he was ten years older. He had a start of grey streaking through his hair, and he was a little heavier. Dean, the older Dean, shut the door when the dog laid down.

"Dude you have kids," Sam laughed.

"Nah, I don't think so Sam, I..." Dean paused a moment. "Hey, wait a minute, why didn't I freak out? I mean I was just standing there, looking at us, and I didn't even say anything!"

"Maybe he, you, didn't see us?"

"Sam, we're right in the fucking doorway view! He had to see us!"

"Maybe we're invisible?" Sam shrugged.

"Invi...Sam!"

"Well, what other excuse could there be? Unless you have bad eyesight!" he laughed. "And did you notice?"

"Notice what?" Dean snapped.

Sam patted Dean's stomach, "You better lay off the snack cakes dude!"

Dean punched Sam in the arm, hard. He ignored his cry of "OW" and his attempt at hitting him back and walked up the steps of the house. "So, if we're invisible, shouldn't we be able to walk through the door?"

"Huh, I don't know. You could try it."

Dean, not wanting to look stupid if he tried to walk through the door and ended up knocking himself out, opted to knock instead. When his fist connected with the door, he turned and looked at Sam, "Good thing I didn't try to walk through it."

The door opened and a pretty young girl about 16 was standing there.

"Who is it Kayleigh?"

She shook her head. "There's nobody here, Mr. Winchester!"

She went to close the door, but Sam and Dean both managed to get inside before it closed. An older Sam was sitting on the couch pulling on his shoes. He, too, was starting to show a small amount of grey through his hair, but much to Dean's disappointment, Sam was not any heavier. He looked the same, except for the grey in his hair.

A small boy, probably around the age of 4 walked around the corner and into the living room. "Daddy, where you goin'?" The little boy had blonde hair, and haunting green eyes.

Sam pulled the boy into his lap, "Dad and I are just going out for a little while. Kayleigh is gonna be here with you and your sister though. You like playing with Kayleigh, don't you?"

He rubbed his eyes and started to cry. "Shhhh, Bailey. Your Dad and I won't be long."

"Dude, you're gay?" Dean asked. He wasn't being critical, snotty or making fun. It was simply a question. Sam only stared at Dean. How did he tell his brother that he was in fact bisexual, but the only guy he had ever loved was him?

Just then the older Dean came around the corner. "You ready, babe?" he asked.

Bailey turned and lifted his arms."Dad, don't go, I don't want you to go!" Dean picked the boy up and hugged him tight against his chest.

"C'mon on Bailey...you know that Daddy and I have to go to the airport. We'll be back soon, I promise. We're going to get Papaw Bobby. You like it when Papaw B visits, don't you?"

Bailey nodded, but was still crying. Sam stood up and approached Dean and Bailey. He reached out and rubbed the small boy's back. "I don't think he's ever gonna grow out of this."

Dean leaned over and kissed Sam, "He loves his Daddies," he smiled.

"Shit," the younger Dean said, looking at Sam. "Do you - I mean, he just said..."

"Yeah, we're a couple," Sam added.

Two hours had passed since Sam and Dean decided to stay in the house of their older counterparts, as they really didn't have anywhere else to go. They wandered around and looked at the photos on the walls...thumbed through things when they were sure Kayleigh wasn't around. "Hey Sammy? Why can we touch stuff, and move stuff...but nobody but the dog can see us? I mean, you don't think we're dead...ghosts or anything?"

"No, we're not dead, and I have no idea why we can touch stuff. You know, it's funny that the dog can see us. It's like Quantum Leap after all," Sam laughed.

"No, not entirely. Sam Beckett could be seen by small children and mentally ill people, too. So far, we just have the animals. And he was in another person's body Sammy. This sooo isn't the same thing."

"No, just the time travel Dean!"

"Did we step into the quantum leap accelerator?"

"OH WILL YOU SHUT UP!!!"

"I'm just sayin' Sam...totally different."

Sam scowled at him, picked up a vase and threw it at him. "You little fuck, that almost hit me!" Dean yelped jumping to the side as the vase smashed into the wall.

"What the??" both men heard Kayleigh say from the other room.

"Smooth move, shit stain!" Dean snottily growled. Sam flipped him off.

Kayleigh walked into the room and saw the shattered glass on the floor. She frowned slightly and bent to pick up the shards off of the floor. Bailey came around the corner.

"Natalie is crying."

Kayleigh stood, but she didn't hear the child crying. "I think she's fine Ba..." just then, Natalie decided to make her presence known. It always amazed Kayleigh when Bailey knew Natalie was going to start crying.

Kayleigh headed off toward the crying child's room. "So," Dean asked leaning against the wall, crossing his feet at the ankles and folding his arms across his chest. "How do you suppose we have kids? You reckon we adopted? Or a surrogate?"

"Well, I would assume adopted. Surrogates are so hard to come by, hard to trust - ya know?"

"I still can't believe..." Dean started, and then stopped mid-sentence when he noticed the hurt look in Sam's eyes. "...that I have children." Dean said.

Sam lifted his head, "Having children is what is freaking you out?"

"Well, yeah. Why?"

"You're not the least bit freaked that we're fucking?" Sam asked bluntly.

"That's crass Sam."

"Crass? That's funny, coming from the king of bad manners and rudeness."

"Fuck you Sam! I'm not rude!"

"Nooooo, of course you're not," Sam sarcastically bit back, rolling his eyes.

Dean flipped him off. Sam wagged his eyebrows, "Maybe later, lover," he said in a mock sultry voice.

"Evidently we do."

Sam looked at Dean a moment. "Are you in love with me?" Sam asked.

Dean laughed, "What?"

"Are.You.In.Love.With.Me? It's a simple question Dean." Dean waved his hand off at him scoffing. "I think you're lying to me."

"Why because you're so hot, and you'd be such a catch?" Dean sarcastically inquired.

"Well yeah, there's that, but I know you Dean. Better than anybody. You're lying to me." Sam walked closer to him, and Dean backed up against the wall. When he came into contact with it, Sam kept coming. He pressed his body against Dean's. "Tell me the truth, Dean. I need to know."

"Sam," Dean whispered, more like pleaded.

Sam leaned in and kissed him. A soft, closed mouthed kiss. "I'm in love with you," Sam informed. "Have been for a long damn time. Just been too afraid to admit it. But now that we're here - now that I have seen that we are destined to be together, I'm not afraid anymore. But I need to hear it Dean. I need for you to tell me."

"I can't...it's - Sam..." Dean was shaking. Sam reached down and grasped his hands and pressed one to his own heart, the other to Dean's. "You feel that Dean? Do you feel what you do to me?" Sam edged his hand over to the side so that he could feel Dean's heart too. "Your heart beats just as rapidly as mine does. I don't know if you're afraid of what people will think, if your afraid that it's morally wrong, that you will go to hell for it. Or if you're just plain afraid to love someone that much," Sam shrugged. "You can trust me Dean. I won't ever hurt you, and I'll never, EVER leave you again." Sam finished his statement and leaned in toward his brother's mouth once again. This time he pushed his tongue inside Dean's mouth, loving him, showing him the passion that he felt.

Dean wrapped his arms around Sam's waist and kissed him back. He gasped as he pulled his head away, "Of course I love you Sam, why do you think that it hurt me so badly when you left for Stanford? Why I came and got you? I mean yeah, sure, part of it was for Dad, but mostly it was for me. I missed you, I needed you. You were everything to me Sammy, and I missed you so fucking bad. I felt like part of me died when you left."

Sam was speechless. He couldn't believe the words that were falling from his brothers mouth. Dean had never talked so openly to him in their lives.

Kayleigh chose this time to walk past them with a baby girl in her arms. She had Sam's curly hair, Sam's brownish green eyes, she even had a mole on her face...in the same spot that Sam's rested on his face. From her size, Dean figured that she was probably around 1. "Sammy, do you see how much she looks like you?"

"Have you noticed how much Bailey looks like you?"

Dean nodded. "Maybe we both had children with someone, and we are raising them together now?" Dean shrugged.

"I guess."

Both men looked at each other when they heard the front door open. They headed through the house and into the livingroom just in time to see their older selves come in with Bobby Singer in tow. "Papaw!!" Bailey yelped, flinging himself against Bobby's leg. Bobby grinned and picked up the small child. "Did you miss me?" he asked. Bailey smiled and nodded.

"Anything happen while we were away?" Sam asked. Kayleigh told him about the vase, telling them that she hadn't cleaned it up yet because Natalie started crying. "Don't worry about it. I'll get it up later." Sam paid the girl for her time, and she walked to the door. "Have a good evening, sirs."

~X~X~

Sam and Dean sat on the floor listening to the conversation between Bobby and their future selves. "What time is the appointment?"

"Noon," Dean answered.

"You seeing the same doctor as last time, right?"

"Yeah, we know that we can trust him. He hasn't let us down, he kept Bailey and Natalie's arrivals secret, so I can't imagine that he's say anything with Dean, Jr. here," Sam spoke, as he lovingly stroked Dean's belly.

"When are you due, Dean?"

"Aproximately two weeks. But Connie said that he'd like to do the C-section now, he didn't want to wait until I started having labor pains. He remembers how bad they were when I was pregnant with Bailey."

"I can't believe that you two are having another baby," Bobby smiled.

"Yeah, this one was a surprise. Just like Natalie was when Sammy ended up with a bun in the oven!"

The younger Sam stood, "Ok, I gotta get out of here Dean. Do you hear what they said? Pregnant! We've both given birth! How in the hell is this possible?"

"I don't know Sammy. I'm a little stumped myself!"
